SYMANTEC Public Sector Team Gives Back

Symantec's Public Sector Sales and Channel organization took to the water on May 6, 2008, for a day of Rock fishing and networking at the 6th annual Chesapeake Challenge fishing event. Over the years the event has become a popular alternative to the traditional golf circuit and a unique way for Symantec to show appreciation to our partner community as we head into our busiest time of the government buying season.

Looking to give back to the community, this year's event benefited Stepping Stones Shelter, a non-profit that helps homeless families with children in Montgomery County Maryland. This years corporate sponsor's donated $2,500 each ( Avnet techonolgy solutions, Copan Systems, ImmixGroup, NetAPP, Quantum, redhat, Sun Microsystems,Synnex Government Solutions) and Symantec
provided a significant match
